I was born in Belen, New Mexico, moved to Colorado in 1953. Attended school in Dolores, Colorado and graduated in 1964. Married for 45 years with two children; son Wally, daughter; Tracy. Worked in the healthcare industry for the past 20 years.
Music has always been a part of my life and as a youngster, I would sing for my dad, at church, and in school. After I married I quit singing and what a foolish thing that was to do. I joined Sweet Adelines 7 years ago. I have immersed myself in this group and try to exhibit what I think the true qualities of a Sweet Adelines must be. The opportunities, the voice lessons which I never had when I was young, and the education this wonderful group offers has made me love to sing more. I am presently acting as section leader for the leads among other duties I have assumed.

I started my chorus life out as a bass, and was singing in a quartet.  One of our coaches told me that I was really reaching for those notes and when my nerves were evident I really shouldn't try to sing bass.  She thought I should be a baritone.   I changed parts that very night and haven't regretted it for one moment.  I was born to be a bari!  The members of my section make my job easy.  Thanks Ladies.
